There is a new video demo that shows off the new data collection feature. This one is a more formal and polished than the other demos. Enjoy!

  • Hi, I wonder how this would work in a distributed application in an accde file format. Is it possible to predefine several email forms as part of an application? Then after a user installs the application she can select the relevant predefined email form and use it in order to collect her data via email? Thanks

  • Gilad Apress publish a book Pro Access 2007 - this has a good treatment of this topic - and looks at the code to build these (vba). Given that you could programmatically start this process then (without testing this) I cannot see why called in Outlook from Access via VBA would not allow you to specify an outlook form from a specific forms library. I might be wrong on this but I cant see a rational reason why not.

One potential flaw is that this requires Outlook 2007 - a good use for inhouse and perhaps not so much general population as yet?

  • Clint, How would I go about posting such a video myself? This similar to one I have developed for my clients in Access Training sessions I run! Tim

  • You all do such excellent work. Since there is so much to know about using Access 2007 and I am not an expert, this video about e-mail is just what I needed. Thanks for all the great tips. The videos are such a great idea - makes everything easier. Sometimes, trying to do a procedure by reading is not as easy, the visual prompt is great.
