Even though we haven't gotten the runtime re-distributable shipped yet, you can run apps in Access 2007 in runtime mode. This will let you test solutions while waiting for the re-dist. In addition, it is a simple way to keep users from changing your applications even when they have the full app. You can use a long-standing command-line switch (documented here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/105128) to launch apps in runtime mode. Access 2007 makes this much easier, though. All you have to do is rename your app from *.accdb to *.accdr (e.g. MyApp.accdr). Then, when the app is opened, it automatically switched Access into runtime mode and you're off and running. We're working hard on getting the runtime shipped, but hopefully that will help in the meantime. Thanks, Erik.

Looks like that KB was just reviewed (January this year) but there was not update to include 2000/XP/2003 much less 2007. While I assume nothing changed in those versions, it would be nice to see references made to the newer versions so people will know they are looking at the definative KB instead of searching some more for another KB for command line switches for the version they are currently using.
