@Disappointed: I'm not sure how or where you read/heard that Office for Mac 2011 is supposed to be identical to Office 2010. I could be wrong but I can't recall any MSFT claim of that. But I could be wrong ( wouldn't be the first time)...Can you point me to that?

I cannot believe I paid to upgrade to Office 2011 for Mac. It was supposed to be identical to the Windows version. No Analysis Toolpak. Come on MS, boo.

@sebgr Yo'urecorrect that all notebook audio is stored as part of the .docx, and it's not possible to delete specific clips.

However, it is possible to export the audio (which could then be sliced/diced in with audio editing software ... not ideal, but an option).

I use the audionote-feature in Word 2011. What I dislike is the fact, that I find no way to delete an audionote from the wordfile and that all audionotes will be stored in the same audiofile. Really dissappointing! Why it is not possible to store all audionotes in an extra object in the wordfile with the ability to delete them (like in OneNote 2010)?

I just got word that although Office for Mac 2011 has been released there WILL be a trial available soon. When I have that date, I'll post it.

I've downloaded Office 2011 for Mac through MSDN. I've just installed it and it has a 30 day trial option.

Releasing the final version of a software might be a reason to pull public beta versions, but is not really an acceptable excuse for not offering a trial. MSO trials have been available for years, why not anymore?

I just spent the money to purchase Office 2011 and the Analysis Toolpak STILL isn't available, even though VBA is back? Really, Microsoft? This will be the last office suite I buy from you unless ATP comes back. I could have bought iWork to do the same (read: limited) functions that are available in Office 2011.
