What you will learn at Tuesday's webinar
Every couple weeks we round up industry news and articles you might have missed. Read on for our latest selections.
Five shows into the series, we've looked at options, changes and what's new in the new Office. We threw a skydiver out of a plane to test if Office 365 ProPlus could be installed during 90 seconds of free fall; we took a look at the new Office telemetry to help you optimize your Office configuration; we've explored identity and data access with the new user-based Office and caught up on the security model for online services. We even performed the great race of Office installs.
We've received a lot of your questions along the way so, for our sixth show, we changed gears to present a live 60-minute episode on real world adoption tips and tricks with live Q&A. If you missed the show, you can see it again here and also find out who won the lightning trivia round.
Today we are announcing the availability of the project codename "GeoFlow" Preview for Excel 2013, a result of collaborations between several teams within Microsoft. GeoFlow lets you plot geographic and temporal data visually, analyze that data in 3D, and create interactive "tours" to share with others.
Read on to learn how GeoFlow adds to the existing self-service Business Intelligence capabilities in Excel 2013, such as Microsoft Data Explorer Preview and Power View, to help discover and visualize large amounts of data, from Twitter traffic to sales performance to population data in cities around the world.
