SkyKick helps partners sell, deploy and scale their SMB business with Office 365

The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2013 continues to reveal the value of partnership, connectivity and community. Throughout the remainder of the conference, we’ll be posting stories from our partners who’ve successfully grown their business while helping more customers migrate to Office 365.

Prior to SkyKick, Richman was at Microsoft for seven years where he held a number of product management leadership roles on the SharePoint and Office 365 businesses. Before Microsoft, Richman was the VP of Business Development for Digital Pipe, a Silicon Valley based networking startup and began his career as a consultant for Towers Perrin. Richman holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and B.A from the University of California, Berkeley.    

At SkyKick, we’re obsessed with building great technology to help Microsoft partners easily and profitably move their SMB customers over to Office 365. And we continue to rapidly innovate on our SkyKick Application Suite that automates an entire Office 365 migration project from initial sales to project completion.

By providing this new way to move SMBs to the cloud, partners improve sales velocity, reduce project risk and complexity, and simplify the management of the migration project. One such example is with managed service provider CyberStreams. The Bellevue, Washington-based MSP has successfully moved a number of SMBs to Office 365 with SkyKick. The recurring theme CyberStreams reports is how much shorter and easier the migration process is with SkyKick, ultimately saving them time and money–savings they are able to pass along to the end customer.

“We partnered with SkyKick in hopes of scaling our Office 365 practice at a faster rate… goal achieved,” said Thomas Allen at CyberStreams in a recent SkyKick press release. “SkyKick allowed us to simplify our migration model; completing more migrations, with less risk of error, and at less cost to the customer.”

The CyberStreams’ example is just one of many similar stories we’ve heard in the last couple months. The excitement partners express when they’re able to deliver a seamless experience to their customers and at the same time optimize their Office 365 migration process is rewarding to say the least.

In many ways, our experience is a testament to the amazing technology and ecosystem Microsoft has built with Office 365. We look forward to continuing to build our business with Microsoft in the coming years to help make the cloud a reality for SMBs and enable our partners to optimize their business.

    Idea of the product is great! After studying some features of the product, this looks very interesting. Especially features in end user Outlook: signatures, autocomplete history, local PST files, etc. – just perfect! But… the pricing… 50$ per migrated mailbox – I think this is too much. The profit left for the partners is too low. Customers are not willing to pay that much of the migration project so there would be enough profit for the partners.
