FLO Wine chooses Office 365: No sour grapes for this small business

Today’s post was written by Marcus Johnson internationally renowned jazz musician and CEO & Co-Founder of FLO Wine.

Office 365 FLO WinesAs a part of FLO Brands, a lifestyle company I co-founded, FLO Wines aspires to enhance our customers’ lives one sip at a time. We strive to make each experience with our wines a little better than the last and work hard to ensure that FLO Wine provides an exceptional experience for customers.

As a jazz musician and entrepreneur, Microsoft Office 365 has improved the way I work and I find new things every day that get me more and more excited about our decision to move to Office 365 – and I have only touched the surface.

When my business partner and I decided to move to the cloud we originally chose Google Apps. However, we constantly ran into version control issues with our documents and what’s more we had no support, which cost us precious time. When you’re an entrepreneur time is your most precious asset, especially when funding is at stake. We switched to Office 365 about a year ago with the help of C3 Integrated Solutions and haven’t looked back. Our migration was effortless. Not only did C3 provide us technical assistance we needed, but they understood our business goals and helped us choose solutions that would allow us to operate most effectively.

Applications like Lync Online, SharePoint Online and Outlook Web App help make Office 365 an extremely powerful platform for small business like ours. Its seamless integration with existing Microsoft Office products allows our small business to function like an enterprise and scale exponentially to the passion level of the entrepreneur. Whether I am in Paris, London or West Africa I don’t worry about whether or not I’ll be able to get things done. The ability to work offline and have my emails and files update as soon as I am connected to the internet is invaluable.

Bottom line, I trust Microsoft. There is a reason Office is a world standard. In fact I used Word to write my business plan and PowerPoint to pitch our first seed investors. Now that we’ve upgraded to Office 365 Small Business Premium we have the power of the cloud to help us enter national markets and win business away from much larger brands.
